Could be either/or. A few days is generally nothing to worry about. Also, you shouldn't really count from the 15th to the 15th... 28 days to a normal cycle, although that number does fluctuate some. If you are concerned about pregnancy, buy a test... it would be well worth the peace of mind.
If you're still really concerned, wait till Monday & call your Dr.

You could be irregular because of coming off Depo - that's not uncommon.
Another possibility is, if you have not replaced the shot with another hormone based birth control, is you could be getting in synch with other women you work with. I know it sounds odd and there is no conclusive proof (scientific) that this happens BUT ask any woman who worked with other women over a long period of time and they will almost certainly tell you that they all got their periods at the same time.
I hope that's all it is for you. If you're still not menstruating in a couple more days, call the doctor - if nothing else to alleviate any concerns.

Is there any chance you're pregnant? If not, then it is because you are off of the birth control. When you are on birthcontrol, it regulates your period for you by controlling your hormones. When you come off birthcontrol, you no longer have that control on your hormones and your body is adjusting to the change that your hormones are going through. If it's only the third day, I wouldn't be worried, but if it turns into a week or two, then I would contact my doctor. You could also be late because you are stressed. That has a lot to do with hormones.

I wouldn't worry too much if you're only a few days off. If it gets to the point where you're a week or more off then buy a pregnancy test just to ease your mind.
The hormonal levels in your body at the moment may be altered by the shot, so they're throwing your cycle off by a few days.
So there's a very good chance you're 3 days late because of the shot.

Ok hunni, first thing is to relax, i know exactly what your going through, i came off the pill about 1 and a half years ago and i didnt get a period for 6 months, and being off it a year and a half now i have only had about 3 or 4 periods, NOT REGULAR AT ALL!!!! and they are now also painful and heavy when i do get them. Ive been told that it completely normal when you come off the pill and it can take up to 18 months to get back to normal, so just relax for now hunni! hope they get back to normal soon if your trying for a baby like me especially!!! Good luck hunni, Sarah xxx

If you are having unprotected intercourse the real possibility exists that you may be pregnant. Check a pregnancy test. If this is positive you have your answer and must take it from there. If it is negative and you still fail to bleed it may be still related to the depo, in this case have a chat with your GP.

I'd say check out the source site I added. It seems that the return to fertility is spotty, some women it returns immediately and for others a few months, and their period tends to be irregular. It's probably just regular "getting off B.C." stuff, but if it's really bothering you call your doctor and find out.

is there a chance you could be pregnant? if yes then do a test first if it comes up negative i would just put it down to the after effects of the depo and they should regulate better with time

Give it a few more days, maybe a week. There are somethings that can lead to irregularity. Such as stress! My girl was late and was under alot of pressure at work. Then she had her period, I hope this helps. And hope you get the outcome you were hoping for.
