The Book of Origin is fiction, it features in a fictional series so its the work of the Stargate writers.
The Ori are just the latest unbeatable (who will be beaten) foe of the unbeatable (who will emerge as the strongest force in the Universe) SG1. They saw off the Go-aould, the replicators and in a galaxy far, far away are seeing off the Wraith, they will surely see off the Ori.
Now to who they are. The Ori are of the same species as The Ancients but they had a disagreement and whereas The Ancients refuse to meddle in the lives of mortals, the Ori doesn't see why that's a bad thing and readily encourage non-ascended races to revere them as gods, getting their followers to obliterate anyone who refuses to accept them.
That, in a nutshell, is your answer.

It's from the science fiction show Stargate SG-1. The Ori are a race of ascended entities who demand the worship of mortal beings. The Ori conceived the Origin faith, one that puts them in the center of creation, and wrote down their word in the Book of Origin to be administered to followers through Priors, missionaries and teachers of Origin.
