First, even though they called it emergency "contraception". It's not. By defintion, contra-ception would mean to not conceive. This drug is not taken until after conception would've occured, therefore it's intellictually dishonest.

There can be many bad side effects. It truly IS a chemical abortion. Here are some of the side effects:
nausea vomiting infertility breast tenderness ectopic pregnancy (can be life threatening) blood clot formation

Emergency "contraception" also offers no protection against sexually transmitted diseases including AIDS.

There are no long term studies to show whether women will be permanently damaged, or risk such diseases as cancer, from these chemicals being given in such high doses.

It makes the lining of your womb non adhesive so that if the egg is fertilised then it can't stick to the womb and grow so it just passes out of you. Many people who view that as soon as an egg is fertilized it becomes a baby don't agree with this form of contraception though as they view it as early abortion.

The best thing to do is use a condom cos pregnancy isn't the only thing that can go wrong when you have unprotected sex.

When the egg is seated in the lining, there's a hormone that tells the lining not to shed. The morning after pill, blocks that hormone and allows the lining to still shed.
