I am pro-choice. I believe that fetal tissues are alive, just as my liver, my hand, my skin is alive. My personal belief system says that the soul does not enter the body of a person until they have taken their first breath; because of this, I don't believe abortions are killing a human life.
That being said, I believe that abortions should be used only for serious circumstances. I consider it the right of a rape victim if she chooses to abort the product of a violent crime. I consider it the right of a woman to choose if she wishes to abort a fetus that, if allowed to develop, will kill her. Kindly note that in each case, the word CHOICE is used. I know women who have had abortions, and have yet to hear from any of them that they had the procedure performed in an offhand or lighthearted manner. It was a serious decision and one that has effected them the rest of their lives. I have also known women who, despite being raped, went ahead and had the baby and put it up for adoption; I salute the courage of their convictions.
The point of pro-CHOICE is that it is up to the woman, with advice from her doctor, on what she does. I know that it is not an easy decision to make, and that it has lifelong lasting consequences. It is not my place to interefere with a medical decision made by a doctor and another woman, imho.
If you see abortion as a sin, I do sincerely hope you walk your talk. I have a friend who is ardently pro-life---always goes to rallies, etc. But I support the courage of her convictions because she adopted two children and raised them. I feel that if you think abortion is wrong, you should walk your talk like this woman did. Adopt as many children as you can financially support; if you are unable to adopt, then financially support an orphanage. If you do, I honor the courage of your convictions. If you don't, I feel you need to strongly reassess your position on this matter--if it is so very important to you, you should take some sort of responsibility for the children who are born and not aborted.

I believe abortion should be legal...moreover, it is a choice to be made by the woman who is pregnant ONLY! It is no one elses business.
Abortion has always been a reality - and always will. A woman who doesn't want to have a baby - won't have it. The difference since Roe v Wade has been that now that woman has access to a sterilized medical procedure with follow up care if needed. Before Roe, those who had the money went to Europe (where this isn't an issue) and had it done in a hospital. Those who couldn't afford it would resort to coat hangers, drugs, back alley butchers and the like.
No one has the right to tell a woman she MUST have a baby - NO ONE!!

I'm pro-choice. I wish abortions never happened, and I think anyone using it for birth control should be spayed like a dog, but - until we figure out a way to hold the men as 100% responsible for the babies as the women are, I don't see how we can do away with them.
But I agree - a baby is a baby. They are human beings.
Of course, look at how little regard we have for our children who have already been born. It's disgusting.

I AM PRO
Some children are brought into this world by unwanted parents who abuse them & neglect them and some children are even murdered. Why would you want that to happen?
What if the father is no where to be found?
What if the woman is raped amd gets pregnant?
It is the womens choice it is her body her life !!!
