I'm seeing it tomorrow here in Austin, so I hope it's great!

As you know, we live in a very casual town. There will be lots of folks there in jeans (and shorts, if this warm spell holds). Bass Concert Hall is not at all a snobby venue, so you should feel comfortable in whatever you like.

That said, the theatre IS a special event, and it's fun to dress up for it. Wearing nice clothes is one way to show respect to the actors and crew members who are performing for you. There will be some people there wearing their sunday best.

Don't wear a tux or an evening gown. You WILL be overdressed that way. This isn't Dallas, after all. :-)

Enjoy!

Hm, as an audience member or cast member??????????

Theater should be experienced, as an audience member in dress clothing, unless you happen to be a tourist at Disney Promo.

As a cast member I'll assume YOU'D be dressed in costume. Since it isn't strictly an "inetractive" show like Rocky Horror, I wouldn't advise showing up as an audience member dressed in costume.

That said, I've seen people show up to theater in the extremes, and why judge them anyway? If you own a TUX, or Gown, depending on your gender, GO AT IT. If you wanna wear casual, do so.

I guess I could equate theater to going to church. WHY does one attend? Is it a fashion show?

If you're feeling 'dressy' where a suit and tie, otherwise, you could where casual dress pants and a nice sweater or you could wear jeans and a jacket or you could wear nice jeans and a dress shirt...I'd say no to jeans and sweatshirts, track outfits and the like...but there really are no hard fast rules. Also if you're going with someone ask them what they are wearing....Have fun!!
