im going to get a bigger fish tank should i get other fish and put in the fish tank or put the convicts in there? how do u know when one of ur convicts are pregnat i have i she has orange on her belly and she stays in this cave

You will need a larger tank for your convicts, especially when they start to breed. I would suggest at least a 20 gallon "long" style tank for those guys.
You know the females are full of eggs when they are a bit plumper and has some orange color on her belly, it sounds as if yours is ready to breed and you can look forward to eggs and babies very soon

I'd have to say that your pregnant convicts need more space for the family. If you look at pets as prisoners instead of study cases or companionship, then maybe you should consider a life free of pets.

I have a 100 gallon tank with 8 fish in it. In my opinion you need to give them as much space as you can.Then thay get really big and pretty. convicts will be protective to their babies
