Indian leadership seems to walk with their 'nose in the air' as far as their relationship with neighbors (particularly Pakistan and Bangladesh) is concerned.
It is true that the Indian people in general are more progressive and open-minded and the nation is much developed than its neighbors in education, industry, commerce, skilled manpower and such very essential parameters for progress which ultimately after about 5 decades of hard work made them to be a force to reckon with in world community.
But their leaders and middle-class' attitude could be compared with some villagers coming into big city and transforming their life from poverty with newly earned money and fame. Thereafter, discouraging and/or looking down at their friends and relatives back home by showing snobbish attitude and throwing uncalled for insults for being poor and uncultured. You can not blame entirely such newly rich guys, but you can not support their snobbish attitude either.
The friends and relatives back in the village (akin to Pakistan and Bangladesh) should also be considerate enough to let the snob (India) cherish their hard earned wealth & status and let them mingle among the rich & elite of the society in the city (world).
Some of the respondents here too, apparently from India or its sympathizers, are also behaving similarly and venting their ill feeling openly towards their neighbor.
Therefore, it is a bit difficult now to have the three agree to come to some bare minimum of togetherness to pool resources for the uplifting of fate of their people who go to bed without food. Vanity seems to be at work and only a catastrophe could bring these three together. What an irony of fate that would be!
However, thank you for your kind gesture and asking a very sentimental question.

Hello All, I am from Bangladesh and I salute the Asker to post such a nice and soothing question. Let us see how other countries in the world have made something similar possible, even though they have maintained their national identity distinct. These are ASEAN and EU. We all know that there are currently 15 member countries of the "Schengen" group in Europe, so named after the Luxembourgian town where the original 7 country members of the group signed a treaty that removed internal border controls between their countries-thereby promoting free and easy access for its citizens to travel and conduct some forms of trade. The current members are: Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Iceland, Italy, Greece, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain and Sweden. What took the European Commission to come this far is also know to the readers of this message. My question is, are we the three countries and its leadership 'civilized' or 'educated' enough to have some common understanding to help ease tension? India was a bit hesitant when SARC (later became SAARC) was launched in early 1980s. It is now about 25 years that we are talking economic cooperation among the SAARC countries. What is needed now is India's leading role like team-captain of SAARC to 'motivate' and 'lead' SAARC nations with 100% sincerity. I am sure that the stepping stone has already been laid and the time is not far away when we would have regional cooperation like ASEAN, if not Shengen countries of EU. Now, the question is: who will bell the cat. In this case, the cat is firstly India and then Pakistan. Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bhutan and Maldives are waiting to see the Train move and start its journey. Thanks again for thinking positive and suggesting to build confidence among nations, rather than posing irritating questions to divide us further and then apportion the blame on to the British or on hidden enemies for all the ills. Best of Luck!!

Its not so easy... as all the three hateeach others... & india being doing good in terms of its economy would be forced to spend its resources on the other too... so many indians wouldn't agree with your thought..
& then civil violence would become more common..
Sorry can't work..

Of course, if the politicians of all three countries develop extremely good understanding , trust and spirit of 'forget and forgive' leaving the history behind. Past is dead and is useless now. Nothing is impossible if people are sincere by heart free from all prejudices , reservations and biases .

It's impossible and nobody wants more headaches. Pakistan has a lot of bad things to offer than good things. India will become a highly theocratic state due to hindu muslim religious fundamentalism. Leave it.

At the first place, why would we want a terrorist state like pakistan and a terrorist supporting state like bangladesh be one with INDIA? India is doing better now, so, let the aliens not interfere with us.

The reasons for the separation haven't changed. There is still a lot of tension between Hindus and Muslims.

Due to difference in opinions, it is not esy to mingle. Every body wants their power to enjoy. Once change is there , they can become coperative and constructive by deleting the Selfish-Leaders.

Globalisation will make this happen. Just watch. It won't happen now, or it probably won't happen in the next 50 years. We will all be gone when it does, but I know it will happen. I think the internet is a great thing.
