This is the BEST program I found and the great thing is it has a fully functional free trial. I liked it so much that I PAID for the not trial version after just a few days (the trial does EVERYTHING the non trial version does..the trial just expires after 30 days). The utility is called Galrys Utilities and can be downloaded here:
http://www.glaryutilities.com/
Clean up yor registery and the start up programs and it should improve your computer a lot..
I also run CC Cleaner after I run this utility and when I am done the computer works GREAT! Here is the link to CC Cleaner:

Enjoy!

CCleaner is a very good, easy to use, free registry tool, and just all around computer cleaner. Doing anything to your registry can have potential problems, but I have used the tool for quite some time with out any problems at all, I generally run the tool after any time I uninstall software. As always make sure you back up any changes you might make to the registry. There is no extra "junk" that comes bundled with this tool. Useless startup items can slow down your computer, this tool has a solutions for it too. It can remove your temp files, it can clear your internet files.
There are 4 sections to this program (Cleaner,Issues,Tools, and Options)
The cleaner section will empty your temporary folders, your internet files(including all your cookies so if you have stored passwords you might keep that in mind, but we will cover that in Options) and all the other junk files on your machine.
The Issues section is where you clean your registry, it will present you with the option of backing up changes it will make to the registry. Run though the Issues section untill there are no more Issues, it will generally take no less than 2 times and maby more, do a reboot and run again to make sure everything is gone.
The Tools section lets you uninstall programs, and get rid of unwanted start up items.
The options is pretty selfexplanitory, but in there you can pick which cookies you wish to keep, such as this great sight.

They are lying to you by telling you this. Its a fact.
You can download "norton systemworks" though. This cleans and fixes problems and its for free. No charge or credid cards needed.
Just do a search for Norton systemworks. If youre computer is slow or crashes all the time, you have viruses. Download "AVAST ANTI-VIRUS FREE HOME EDITION"
Go to avast.com for this.
My computer cracked me up until i found these sites.
Another tip for you: Dont store too many pics and movie or song files on youre computer. They take up all the space and really make youre computer slower. If you use LIMEWIRE, be careful what you download. That site is riddled with viruses.
Hope i helped ya out a bit.

if a dll is not registered correctly, you don't need any program. Just type first (at a command prompt or run dialog box): regsvr32 /u then type regsvr32 That should do it. If you have orphaned dll entries, there are utilities like regclean. There are some free ones there.

First, if you have a fairly knew computer you should run Scan Disk, or if you have windows xp, due a restore, and have the restore feature reset you computers data back to a date when all was well, if you don't like the results you can reverse the restore feature back to what it was.
