I've found a couple of Research Analyst positions I'd like to apply for, but I lack the required knowledge of SPSS software. I guess it's another one of those "egg before chicken" scenerios, whereby I can't get the needed experience without the job or the job without the needed experience. Anyone out there have some advice in this situation?

I think with spss and mininova you can download trial versions off their websites. Maybe do that and have a play, great way to learn.

You could get a good statistical textbook and do the homeworks that use the software. I found that hands-on experience works the best. That and the SPSS tutorials. Psychology professors are also good resources - they have to know how to use statistical software like SPSS.
