Get an OB/GYN as your regular Dr and go for prenatal check ups! Do it now. If you can't afford a Dr call the health department and ask about getting assistance. Prenatal care is essential. You need regular consistent care during your pregnancy to insure the health of your baby and your own health. Tell him/her about all the Meds you have taken. Tell them about your symptoms. Going to the hospital is NOT the best way to care for your health. There is no consistency and not usually an OB who cares for you.
Now, relax. I had pain on the left too because as my uterus grew it would pull on the ligaments holding up the uterus. You need the book What to Expect When You're Expecting. It will answer a lot of questions you will have. It also has great advice on a healthy pregnancy. Good luck.

I had pains like period pains all through out my pregnancy. I was told it was just all my insides moving out of the way for the baby to grow. So I'm sure your baby is fine so don't worry about it.
Just be on the safe side and get it checked out again though - better safe than sorry. You can never be too cautious when you are pregnant. Just try not to worry about it though. If there is something then the doctors will find it.

Hi, im 9 weeks and 2 days pregnant ive had period type pains since week six. I keep getting pain in my right hand side and centre of my tummy its really uncomfortable if i lay on my tummy. Ive been informed that its normal during pregancy as the uterus is expanding to cater for the new baby. It can apparently get stronger around the time that your period is due. If you are concerned though i suggest you revisit your GP.

it could be an ectopic pregnancy. I would go to the ER. It doesnt hurt to ask for an ultrasound. explain that you are pregnant and having pains on one side. This is NOT normal.
A friend of mine had an ectopic pregnancy and had these pains but ignored them. It burst when she was 14 weeks. Please go the hospital.
Good Luck and I hope everything turns out ok.

with my first pregnancy i had a horrible pain in the area where one of my ovaries would be. we ended up talking a middle of the night trip to the emergency room for it. the doctor told me that sometimes when you are pregnant and in the early weeks, that the ovary in which the egg came from produces hormones and causes the pain. i don't know how much truth there is to that, it sounded like bunk to me, but it went away

I am 8 weeks and had the same, had a scan and said nothing there to show concern and that on the left hand side the pain is normally because of your bowels.

If this is ur first pregnancy, then u get very bad stretching pain from ur ligaments that hold ur uterus, its normal it feels like ur having really bad period pains/stabbing pain. I'm 9 weeks pregnant as well with my 2nd and I'm getting the pains at the moment also. If ur really worried see ur doctor. Good luck

You may need to ask for an ultrasound to be done just to see what could be causing the pains. You are still in the early stages of your pregnancy but it's almost the most crucial stage too.

I'd say stop going to the hospital and see a doctor and get him to run a battery of tests, including a ultrasound.

your appendix is on your right side. have you had an ultrasound to rule out ectopic pregnancy. if that's what it is, then you need to get that fixed NOW. sounds like your doctor thinks feeding you medicine will fix everything without knowing for sure what the problem is.
