ok so im going to be driving from boone county kentucky to indianappolis its about a 4 hr drive will my beardie get too cold and die right in the box if so how am i going to keep him warm

The way that they ship reptiles is they use those instane heat packs, the ones that you take out of the plastic and shake. Get a couple of those, activate them, and wrap them in a towel, and you should be fine. They literally last for hours.

Hi i love bearded dragons! my neighbor has three of them! well anyways i would say that your dragon would probably be fine the first hour to the second hour but after that (if you know how to hold lizards the right way without them getting loss and them escaping up the car engene) then i would just take the lizard out of the bag and cup him tightly in your hands to keep him warm, or possibly bring a small heater along with you that you can hold him near or even bring a heating pad along with you! well what i would do is ship the pet but pick up is also good! well just please use atleast one of those tips i gave you and you will have a nice warm healthy lizard that comes home for the first time with you!
Also make sure you have the cars heat turned up on high to about 79-85 degrees atleast!

Other then useing your car's heater to maintain a decent level of heat, or hand warmers as suggested. Get a sock, put rice in it, heat it in a microwave. Makeshift heat pack, you can wrap a towel around it to help it maintain the heat as well. More then likely it would lose it's heat if your driveing for 4 hours. But as long as the temps in your car dont drops below 70 I dont think you have anything to worry about.

I had the same problem but with iguanas if you keep the car warm and put a towel in the bottom of the box he should be fine. Just make sure your tank at home is all setup and ready so when you get home you can put him in. Good luck!

As long a the car is warm you have nothing to worry about. If you want to play it safe you can get "hot hands" hand warmers at walmart for really cheap, once you activate them they stay warm for up to 8 hours. Nice things to have around in case of a winter power outtage too!

Presumably your car has a heater... Just keep the temperature of your car at a comfortable level and your beardie will be fine.

Crank the heat on and run it through the floor vent. Put his box on the front passenger floor.
If it gets too hot, crack the window and let some heat out.
