Whats the name of the book that depicts, in a humorous way, the imperial nature of both superpowers England and France when they were carving up Europe between them... A well used illustration depicts Europe as a Turkey with two nationalities represented as soldiers at a table carving it for themselves.

There are many more of these which make the book superb, I am looking for either the book's title or the illustrator. The book has had positive separate reviews in national newspapers here in the UK a short time ago, when it was released.

I know the cartoon you refer to. I think it was originally published in the humorous magazine 'Punch'. The book you saw must have been a reprint. I've a feeling that the artist was Sir John Tenniel:- http://www.spartacus.schoolnet.co.uk/Jtenniel.htm. This book is available through amazon.co.uk but was first published nearly 30 years ago:-http://www.amazon.co.uk/Victorian-England-as-Seen-Punch/dp/0283984880/sr=1-1/qid=1171739212/ref=sr_1_1/202-4300687-1093437?ie=UTF8&s=books
or this lists all the books of Punch cartoons currently held by amazon.co.uk:- http://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=nb_ss_b/202-4300687-1093437?url=search-alias%3Dstripbooks&field-keywords=Punch+Cartoons&Go.x=11&Go.y=5&Go=Go

no longer extremely. many times eastern Europe has been much less rich than Western Europe and in present day circumstances it became into in all probability Western Europe who prepared the ground in exploration and so on (e.g. British Empire) yet you are able to not forget approximately that a super sort of Europes maximum helpful civilisations have been Southern ecu (working example historical Greeks and the Roman Empire) so the African genes can not be 'hurting' them that lots as you mentioned. And to be straightforward, eastern Europe's significant subject became into communism, that's unlike they are stupid or something.
