He definitely does not fit into what has been considered conservative thought in the past. He is for larger government, and larger spending for starters.
I have called him a liberal, although that probably isn't entirely accurate.
All I can tell you is my beliefs and his do not coincide, I consider myself a conservative libertarian, and whatever he is, he is NOT one of those.

Bush isn't liberal or conservative. Yes it's true as you said Bush hasn't really done anything to prevent illegal immigration, he did not balance the budget like Clinton did. Clinton also had work progams to help welfare mothers get off their butt to find a job. Bush only vetoed 1 bill which even increased spending even more. Bush is an opportunist and a radical who is against freedom, the Constitution, everything Jesus said, and the American Way. All the Christians Conservatives and Republicans should be ashamed of Bush and no one should support him.

George W. Bush is NOT A LIBERAL and here is why;
1. Liberals Love to Lie because they Cannot Tell The Truth and President Bush Always Speaks The Truth and Never Lies.
2. Liberals make promises that they can never keep and President Bush Keeps His Promises No Matter What.
3. Liberals show no compassion and care to anyone and President Bush shows great compassion and care to all people.
4. Liberals enjoy FAILING OTHERS and President Bush works very hard to achieve Success.

First off, its not Bush. He couldn't find his way from his residence to his office and that is IN the White House. So it is his administration.
Second, all the Bush administration cares about is making sure there is a war at all times. Keeps the middle working so that the rich get richer. Think about it; tax money pays for war supplies and services (Halliburton?sp.) which are manufactured and sold by fat cats (ie. Cheney).
Third, look out Iran and Pakistan - here we come.
Fourth, why is it okay to let in Iraqi immigrants while leaving out South of the Border immigrants. Does that make sense to you? Does to me. Gives Iraqi's in power a motive to keep the war in their country which won't be their country anymore after the powers that be have fled. Who do you think made it out of Viet Nam? Nothing new here.
Fifth, gave us fear first (Weapons of Mass Destruction) and the media feed that we would have less oil supplies.
Partisian politics has nothing to do with whom is in office even though I like to consider myself a liberal and I liked Clinton better than Bush. But the USA's fat cats was needing a war. They just found an administration that would play into their hands better.

He certainly SPENDS like a liberal.
And I am furious with ALL of our elected officials about the border. They won't do a damned thing until - God forbid, but it's inevitable - we get attacked again. Neither party wants to piss off the Latino vote - our safety is not as important to politicians as their power.
Hey, dio! I'm a conservative Libertarian, too!

i've often wondered if he is a mole trying to ruin the republican party by entirely screwing up the US, and it seems no matter what he does and how much he inflicts harm on our nation he hasnt seem to found the thing that will actually get people riled up enough to overthrow him and denounce republicans forever. kind of a sad state of affairs and a sad statement about our complacency, cause wow, its gonna take an enormous amount of undoing to repair what he and his administration have done.

Bush is a puppet, no less, no more.
It's the ruling elite behind the puppet figures that we need to look at. Sad thing is that there is nothing much we can do about things. Read the book, Rule by Secrecy by Jim Marrs, this will enlighten you.

He is a social conservative with liberal fiscal views. He is conservative only in the fact that he thinks the government should pass laws regarding morality. Government control is conservative philosophy. No government control is liberal.
Government control of spending is fiscal conservatism. No government control of spending is fiscal liberalism.
A social conservative with liberal fiscal policies is a bad combination.
