I'm at Uni and have been told you need more than a degree to get a job you want. I'm not sure what I want in life ( studying Law & History)but I know I don't want be a barister/solicitor (or anything Law or History related-just studying them out of interest but I might need Law to start a business one day if all else fails.) I def want a job that will allow me to travel worldwide and with lots of cash (doesn't everyone?)But I thought, whilst I'm deciding what to do,it would be a good idea to use my free time at Uni to do things that would be useful life skills and help my CV stand out from the crowd a bit, so I am currently

Learning to drive,doing a
First Aid Course,
Learning Languages (madarin chinese-I already speak fluent french and conversational spanish),
Public Speaking course, and a
Teaching English as Second Language (TESL)course.

But is there anything else I can do that will help my CV? And what jobs would you suggest thats has lots of travel and decent salary?

The main thing that a good CV will do for you is get you to the interview. This mean it has to show you in a positive way.

Interviewers like to see that the applicant is doing more than the average, so, what you are doing 'extra' above is very useful.

Another trick to catch the eye is to start every sentence positively using words such as:

Ensuring,
As part of xxxxxx, participated in...
Produced....
Performed ...
Managed and motivated...
Planned...
Actively liased ...
Allocated, authorised, and directed..
Successfully...

These are all positive words that show you are both a leader and team player.

These are the headers I use on my CV:

NAME
Address

PROFILE

CAREER SUMMARY

KEY EXPERIENCE AND ACHIEVEMENTS

TECHNICAL
MANAGEMENT
TRAINING
ADMINISTRATION

EDUCATION , TRAINING and QUALIFICATIONS

PERSONAL DETAILS

Of course, it isn't correct for the interviewer to take into consideration any of your personal details.

There is little point in producing a C.V. until you know what job you are applying for.
You will therefore have more than one as each needs to be tailored to the position applied for. Whilst each one must be truthful, the most relevant facts should be foremost, as most C.V.s are selected for re-read within 15 seconds.
It may also be prudent ,at times , not to provide all information, (example: all the good charitable work you have done for Israeli single mothers may not go down too well if you are applying to be a legal executive with the Muslim League of Friends!).

Berkeley city council went too far. they are attempting to be "super Brother" and close somebody up, and that somebody occurs to be the Feds, and that's a brilliant no no. Even the government has freedom of speech. The buddies will protest if the recruiters are extremely no longer wanted. For the city council to start something on their own is in basic terms, as my grandma might positioned it, "abdomen finished, strategies empty". the city can bypass all the call they desire. that's loose speech, yet do no longer mess with any physique else's loose speech.

Being highly educated is great, but put those skills to use. Companies love to have employees that could get them some good publicity with their charity work. It will also give you some work experiences that may help you decide what to do with your education when you are done with school.
