It's funny how people want what they don't have. I know a number of girls with straight hair who would kill for your curls! The best thing would be to embrace what you have and not fight it. Keep your curls, but use products that enhance them, so you'll be known as the girl/guy with the BEST light brown/dark blond naturally curly hair. Save the straightening for special occasions; it's a lot of work, it can get expensive, and it can damage your hair.

Get a CHI flat iron. It is the best. I have African American coarse hair, and it straightens my hair in one shot. It's a little expensive, but worth it, so that you will always have shiny straight hair. Also, buy a blow dryer with a comb attachment. It will straighten your hair. Then use the CHI flat iron to smooth any waves or kinks out. Always use a product that protects it from the heat, whether a thermal spray or pressing oil, depending if you have Caucasian or African American hair respectively.

Buy a straightner. Get a chi, or another one that is REALLY good, I have seen some of the curliest hair ever straightened by these things. That really the only way unless you get it chemically straightened which I dont suggest.

use a shampoo that helps straighten it. then use a straighten iron on it. you do have to use a mousse or gell of some kind first, before you use the rod. my hair has natural wave and this is what i do.
