All depends on how much money you've got to spend and how good you want it to sound. You could go one of two routes; a hardware based system, such as a mixing desk, amp, speakers, microphones and mini disk recorder/ computer-this would set you back about £500, and would enable you to record and mix instruments and vocals. The second route is the Digital Audio workstation route of a computer, sound card, microphones and a decent pair of headphones. This could set you back anywhere between £500 and £1000, but would basically be a home pro recording studio. It all depends on your needs. Useful software includes Pro tools (used in every commercial recording studio worth its salt), and cu base for the person who likes to keep things simple. Both of these programs need a good quality sound card (mbox).

you purely ought to get a microphone to connect on your pc and a application that would checklist your voice(get carry of Audacity if that would desire to help). Or the sinplest element is to checklist your voice on a cellular and then using bluetooth or USB cable get carry of it on your pc and then convert the recorded document to greater frequencies and greater powerful codecs (like .wav) to get the final high quality sound.
