Hi, im 16 and writing a paper for school. So is it illegial for a 16 year old, in California to runaway.

If you are running from something,stop running and acknowledge the problem.Try to fix it if possible.When you run from something the problem is still there...If you are only 16,you have alot more things your gonna have to deal with in life.If you only run from them now,they will still be there when you get back.Good luck.

Yes you have to be 18 to runaway (haha) unless your parents don't mind , If they don't report it , then the cops won't be looking for you, Seriously though, after several attempts you will be sent to juvenile hall.

Call the police dept. and ask them. You'll get an accurate answer that way.
