I believe that as long as you are married the state and all of your papers will show that you are a couple and you must file together. This would be an easy phone call to your local h and r block and they could tell you for sure. Customer service is a toll free call at 800-472-5625. What is more important than your marriage? Pay any price and make an sacrifice to solve the issues or at least work on them if both parties are willing. My dad told me that his divorce was the most painful experiecn in his life. Good luck!

You can file married but filing seperately. The not getting along part is something you will have to work on. good luck.

Yes--there is a filing status "Married but filing separately".
Any refund will be smaller, and the possibility of OWING tax is bigger.

YES but you better get it straight on who will claim what on who's taxes. Either one of you claim the same things and you will need a tax attorney to get the microscope from the IRS out of you BUTT !! NOT KIDDING !
