She's been drinking about 4 six ounce bottles a day but slowly seems to be losing interest in having one of the bottles. Should I be taking away one of her bottles?

No i think 24 oz is the minumum and 32 oz is the maximum. Ask your doctor, but she needs as much of that 24 oz as she can get, and I know because my son never drank as much formula as was recommended, (but was larger ironically than most babies) I would let him hold his bottle in his highchair and what he wouldnt finish i would hold him on the couch and feed him like an infant i know i spoiled him and it looked silly, but i was scared he wouldnt be healthy. Trust me he turned out fine i let him finish what he wanted and didnt fret about it too much. now that hes a year and on milk God my life is easier! but 4 six ounce bottles is how i did it too, one with breakfast lunch dinner and one before i put him to bed. if she doesnt finish it all completely dont worry, but still offer it to her. she might just be on a jag and will start back up eating all her food in a week or two. good luck!

No, don't take away the bottle. you child needs between 24-32 ounces of formula a day -- formulat is still the most important food for your child. Instead of the 4 six ounce bottles, try to make it three 8 ounce bottles she might respond better to drinking more in a given feeding. Still try to get her to drink 32 ounces but if she doesn't it's ok as long as she gets the 24oz

The baby can eat solids now, but only certain ones. Check with a pediatrician. Because formula is so filling you give them the solid once a day and then give formula. As to how much they should be getting, you take your ques from baby. They will usually turn their heads away when they are full.

She should be eating a little bet of solid foods like cereal and stuff like that anyway and that will make up for some bottles.

I breastfeed yet basically to percentage my adventure.... my boy is 8 a million/2 and that i began solids considering 5 mos. at the moment he eats each and everything I prepare dinner (regardless of giving him healthy meals, he even tried Lasagna ) and that i continually feed him milk in the previous solids. each and everything I do is in accordance to what medical doctors suggested. Rice cereal would no longer be sufficient as your female starts to take maximum of her food from solids, so initiate giving her end result, vegetables and meats to boot.

You know you can get all the advice in the world from other moms like me or doctors, but the one you need to listen to is your child. they will let you know when enough is enough or definately when they arent getting enough. But from one mom to another, i would slide some solid foods in there too. My kids loved cereal by the time they were her age.But just see how she reacts. if you watch her, you will see what she wants and doesnt want.

They need 20-32oz until they are at least one year.

Formula is more important than food so offer the formula fist.
