I boguht a leather or pleather tri-fold wallet, and no matter what I do, it doesn't stay closed. The top flap just pops open all the time. I had my computer sitting on it for 2 weeks, still pops open. Is there any way to get it to stay shut?

Wallets don't cost that much. I would return that one as defective, and buy another brand. It's not worth the aggravation.

I would be suspicious about: A: Kleptomania... or the inability to keep himself from stealing, even when he knows it's wrong, or B: Drug abuse. Either way, this is a serious breach of your trust. If you see him as a brother, you must tell him how disappointed and broken-hearted you feel about this. Hopefully this will shame him into a confession or apology. If you discover that something is seriously wrong in his life, help him to seek treatment or help. If it turns out that he just isn't the person you thought you knew, cut yourself off from him, no matter how painful it is. Addition: Since you say he's your cousin, this is very troublesome... I'm guessing it may be a cry for attention. I'm sure he knows it's wrong. Some people steal for the thrill that they get out of it, especially younger kids. It may just be an extremely unhealthy stage he's going through. In any case, it's something you need to sit him down and talk to him about, intervention-style... if you get the whole family together and have a serious talk with him about how heartbreaking and disappointing his destructive behavior has become, he may realize the harm he's doing to himself and others.

I would wet the wallet a bit then fold it shut with something heavy. Although this may warp the wallet slighly, it should warp it in the direction you'd want.

If that sounds too risky, give it some time, keep it in your pocket, it should come into proper shape.

Yes, wrap a rubber band around it and carry it around in your pocket that way. Works for me and my change purse in which the zipper has been broken for months.

Dont carry so much crap in it.

And get a bi-fold instead of a tri-fold - they are less bulky when they close.

Glue it together.
I would suggest buying another one. Why go to all that trouble of trying in vain to get it to stay closed? Toss it. Buy another one!

Return it for a different style. Also, don't stuff it full of junk.
