b.) oxidizes to produce a white powder

Ductility, the melting point and the density are all physical properties of magnesium.

Hope this helps!

Let's get basic (no pun intended) and say what is a chemical property. There is only one chemical property and that is reactivity. Reactivity leads to a new substance, hence a chemical change that signifies a chemical property. Three of your four "changes" are changes that do not change the substance. Mushed out magnesium is still magnesium, liquid magnesium is still magnesium, measuring the density (volume and mass) of magnesium doesn't change it from magnesium. That white powder is no longer magnesium, it is magnesium oxide, a change of substance, hence a chemical change. The chemical property is the ability of magnesium to react with oxygen.
