In order to have Racsim to have racsim you have to have 3 things: Impostion, Idealogy, and Institutional Arrangement.
Impostion: Forceing yourself on someone or a group of people culturally, physically, and mentally which white people have done in the past.
Idealogy:A set of ideas used to justify impostion and instutional arrangement. For example Slavery. the One Drop Rule, Jim Crow, and the Anit-Miscongentation laws.
Institutional Arrangement: A system of social structure which gives an advantage to one group ove rthe other. For example, the disparty on sentencinf over crack cocaine. A crack dealer can get 10 years for dealing 3 couple of grams of cocaine will a cocaine dealer can get between 6 motnhs to a year.
Minorites can't be racist because we never had any political power in this country and we never had the head start whites have had in this country. We can't be racist because we don't have power. Remeber racism isn't words either; when somes uses slurs they are bigot.

Teddy bear, I completely agree with you. Racism, by definition, does mean that the people who are racist MUST be in a position of power in order to perpetuate systematic oppression and discrimination upon others. Until minorities hold that power, they are not able to be racist.
Granted, people can be prejudiced or bigoted but not racist.
Thank you for posting that...some other responders missed the point entirely.

Prejudice of any kind is often based on ignorance and fear of anything unfamiliar. Unfortunately racism can exist in all races and cultures. I can understand some of things you say. As a whole blacks can't be racist because we don't have the power to oppress another group. I just want everyone to get along.

Your points a bit aside - yes minorities show abundant evidence of racism.
But what is a minority? I am a white person in California and we have a great ethnic blend, and I love it.
But many groups, African-Americans in particular, have swung the pendulum too far and are lacking basic respect for others and graciousness in many cases.
We will have greater harmony when we treat each other equally - we all know that but seem to have a hard time getting there - Selfishness? Anger? Pride? Insensitivity? All of those are part of the problem - no one is better or worse than anyone else because of race - MLK - "...judge by the content of a person's character."

No, actually you are misinformed. Anyone can be racist even if they are the only one of that race around. Stop trying to excuse racism from minorities.

you are dead wrong. you don't need power in order to be one. a racist is someone who thinks their race is superior to other races. there are many minorities that claim superiority to whites.

just listen to black comedians, celebrities, sports figures, rap singers and etc. they constantly poke fun at whites and spew hateful slurs at them and claim superiority to them.

Racism is believing that a race (whether it's that person's own race, or another) is superior to any other race - point blank.

Anyone can be racist.
