Go to www.hp.com there is a space to type in the name/model number of the computer, hit enter, some pkace on the page may be under support, but there is a link for free online chat tech support and a chat window will open, then you can ask him.her that question, for free

Look on the sides for the inputs and outputs. If, they not there, then it may be hard, I not sure if they make a PCMCIA card for this and you would need a PCMCIA card slot. I see what I can find.
Below a link to NewEgg. There are 2 PCMCIA Audio cards here, but, they not look cheap. Also, OEM sometimes means no software so be sure you know what all you get "IF" you were to decide on something like this. Also, this let you know what they are and you can look around local and know what to ask for.
I have an HP OmniBook 3000 and on the left are Headphone and Microphone inputs. I just went and looked to be sure. It also have one PCMCIA slot on the left beside the inputs mentioned.
