I see kids hockey equipment at every garage sale I go to in the spring and summer.
Another place is Play It Again Sports.
Also try Ebay.
Also try the Yellow Pages under Sporting Goods.

Try a second hand sporting goods store like Play It Again or Second Time Around. They sell good used equipment but the best place to go would be to your local ice rink, most have a big used equipment sale a couple times a year. Ask them when their next sale is and check other ice arenas within traveling distance. If you cant find what you need then ebay is always a good source...the downside there is your child cant try things on so it would benefit you to go to the rink first and try equipment for proper size before you buy ill fitting equipment on ebay. Plus the local rink has people who can give you great information and usually are very good about helping get equipment at very good prices...they realize that good equipment at good prices is part of keeping kids involved. Good Luck!

Around where I live there are places called Second Time Around and they are second hand sports centers. Kids grow so fast and the equipment is so expense that this company has decided to "trade" old equipment for new equipment. Basically they buy the old stuff from parents and give them a discount on new equipment. Had 3 boys and without this store they wouldn't have gotten to do have the sports that they did. Also ask the coach's and other parents.

Kids that age outgrow their gear almost instantly,
so there should be plenty of used equipment out there in that size
Play-it-Again is a good starting place
Also a lot of rinks have bulletin boards where people can list their used equipment for sale, so check the local rinks as well as e-bay

Try play-it-again sports, if you have one in your area and dont mind used equipment. Thats where my parents used to take me before every season when I was real young and growing constantly. You trade in old equipment and get money towards the new stuff. They do have new equipment too, not just used.

For immediate needs, go to "Play it again Sports". You can find locations at their website. I bought my stick and skates there. If they have goals there, depends on the individual locations, but they maybe able to look up stuff between different locations.

Check out HockeyMonkey.com for other equipment. Doesn't hurt to shop around.
