There are several things that should help. If you consume any caffeine, wean yourself off of it very slowly over time. In the meantime, drink at least 8 glasses of water a day, take a multi-vitamin, flax seed oil or fish oil, 200 mcg (I believe) of Vitamin B-2 2 x a day. Also be sure to get your optimum sleep (whatever is right for you), keep your blood sugar steady with frequent small snacks and exercise regularly. I understand your wanting to go the natural route, but if it gets to be too much on your own you might consider taking an ergot inhibitor, a blood pressure med or topamax. (A doctor (neurologist) can prescribe those.) Another tip for sinus related pain: if you think a headache might be related to a sinus infection: take fresh garlic cloves or garlic pills for three to four days. The sinus infection and headaches will be gone. Good luck. I've been there. P.S., the one that made life livable for me was Topamax regularly. The prophylactic meds just treat the symptoms and seemed to give me a withdrawal type or re-bound headache.

You can't permanently get rid of Migraines. Migraine is a genetic neurological disease with no known cure at this time. Your best bet is to find a doctor who truly understands the disease and how to treat it. Many doctors don't. There's the triptans class of drugs such as Imitrex that work in the brain to stop a Migraine attack and its symptoms. These meds shouldn't be take more than 2 or 3 days a week because they can cause rebound headaches. If you have more than 2 or 3 a month, talk to a good doctor about preventive medications. Also, if you haven't already, keep a Migraine diary to help you discover your triggers. Some triggers are avoidable, and trigger management should be the first line of defense. Good luck.

Put the coffee down, grab two 12 to 16 oz glasses of gatorade and go to a cool dark room. Drink the gatorade within 30 minutes. Over sleeping means you were not drinking and you CAN get headaches from dehydration when you do not feel dehydrated. Coffee will only further aggravate a true migraine and will only add to your dehydration if that is the case. Caffeine is no good for either. If you do not have any gatorade grab a can of chicken broth or chicken soup out of the pantry and eat it without crackers and drink a huge glass of orange juice. The soup has sodium and the oj sugar and both have fluids your body needs. Not as quick as Gatorade (or the store brand) but beats driving to the store with a headache. Get well soon.

Treatment of a migraine already in progress usually consists of a drug therapy program chosen from a variety of painkillers, sedatives, and special prescribed medications.
Sumatriptan succinate, a relatively new drug, and its relatives are available in pill form or via injection or nasal spray. This drug has offered dramatic relief to many migraine sufferers who fail to respond adequately to other medications. Individuals with a history of heart disease or other vascular conditions are advised to use extra caution, however. If used inappropriately, this drug can have serious side effects.
Prevention
Prevention of migraines is possible with several types of medication. Antidepressant drugs and beta-blockers have been shown to prevent migraines in some patients.
These drugs work in the body to block what are called the beta effects, one of which is dilation of the blood vessels. Drugs known as calcium-channel blockers, such as verapamil, nifedipine, and diltiazem, are also effective in the prevention of migraines. While it is not yet known exactly how these drugs provide relief, research suggests that they act by preventing the initial constriction of blood vessels that causes migraine.

Take feverfew or whitewillow
(GNC probably has a good migraine formula)
take a really hot bath (with epsom salts helps or lavander)
keep the lights down or off
some muscle rub helps too
Most people think headaches and migraines are caused by noise
but I have noticed that listening to soothing music, even soft rock
turned down low can help relax you.

I've found all that works for me is lying in a dark, silent room with an ice pack over my eyes and/or forehead. One tip I'll pass along at the risk of sounding odd involves trying to think it away. What sometimes works (some) for me is concentrating on where the pain is beating with each pulse in my temple. Then, I imagine the pain as a sort of drum, with a big hammer striking blows. I picture sliding a big pillow between the hammer and the drum, and honestly this visualization technique sometimes works. Hope it--or something similar--works for you.

I used to suffer terrible migraines, put me down for days. Now I rarely have one. It was not easy. Chanigng my diet completely,
getting rid of yeast. Finding foods I was allergic too. Cutting out sugar and gluten. Cleansing my body, liver and bowel. it took 2 years. You need to look up natural ways to rid yourself of migranes as it is related to genetics as in you health heritage and your diet, STRESS, chemicals etc. If anyone wearing perfume came near me or used perfumed soaps or things like that instant migrane. It was the chemicals.
I see you have tons of answers but we are what we eat and breathe. Below is a link that could be very beneficial. In all health issues there is no magic pill, just hard work looking after your body!!
Signed No more Migraines for me

The best way to feel relieve is: No light, be in a dark quiet place, cover your eyes if possible go to bed and try to be relax and try to sleep if possible. Do not talk, take phone calls, or anything else. Some os us start vomiting. If that happens drink, 7up or Sprite no food. Drink something recommended by your physician. There are several medications over the counter, and the best ones will need a prescription by your physician. Consult your doctor.

Keep a diary and see if you can work out what triggers them, then try to avoid those triggers.
It may be a particular food or drink, but not necessarily; in my case, I discovered they were being brought on by stress, and to a lesser extent by dehydration. I make sure I drink plenty water now and avoid very stressful situations and I haven't had an attack for years.
