Yes. If you have a boxer in the house, you don't need a burglar alarm.
I have a dog that will rip your face off if you even try to come thru the front door without being "welcomed". In fact, we have to tell him "This is a friend" and then he'll be OK.
One time I was leaving for work very early and found a leather glove ripped to shreds just inside the back screen door--apparently someone jimmied open the door and my dog was there to "greet" him, and he (or she) left minus their burglar glove and apparently a substantial amount of blood.
Love my dog!

Oh yes , she loves her mommy and the family "she is
shepherd and lab ..she is very sweet , but she is a very
protective dog , i feel so safe with her.
She chased off someone trying to steal something outside
they never came back...

if I still had him he would, had to leave him in my old state with relatives,but he has protected my family and I many times. He once killed another dog for biting my son,I know that sounds bad but hey the dog bite my kid and made him bleed! My half rotty would tear someone to shreds if they tried to harm any of us.I missy my hundred pound puppy

yea..i have a pit bull..no one would even come close to ours house. i have 3 dogs and when someone tries to get in, they bark....loud. and the pit bull growls and shows his teeth and doesnt leave until that person is gone. plus, hes great with my family though.

My dog would lick the intruder incessantly until he/she couldn't take it anymore. The intruder would probably leave before my dog started humping.

both of my labs are laid back but you come into my house you would be loved on by them but if you come near me you prob be killed not just a bit or two they are way over protective of me

i have a shih tzu. he is very friendly and loves people. he probably wouldn't protect us and he would jump all over the person coming in.
