Some people do live in peace and harmony. When you increase your consciousness/awareness to that level you too will experience that. You will then know that all pain, strife, stress and all those so called negative experiences are there only to deter one from continuing down the wrong path.
If you can understand why pet owners put electronic collars on their dogs to keep them from straying and perhaps saving their life, not to punish them, you can understand the same principle applies to humans. We do not wear electronic collars but the pain we suffer when we make choices outside of our best interest is a deterrent to bring us back into alignment with our ultimate destiny.
If you can simply get to the level of recognizing that all pain is only a deterrent, not a punishment you will already achieve a greater degree of peace.

Mainly because we are all born with free-will. There are people who have low self esteemed opinions of themselves, and are stubborn. Learning to trust other people is another factor. I feel we all fall short of God's plan for us. No one on this planet, has kept the Ten Commandments given us to help govern our lives. Oh, some more than others, break the rules. The 7 Deadly Sins, and fear that the grass is always greener and don't like that because they envy it, and try to destroy other peoples happiness. We can argue that it is human nature, if that's the only answer a person can give. I feel that's a shortcut to something deeper.
If we take a look at Nature, as in animals and weather. There are great examples of this struggle to be harmonious. Having a peaceful day, everyday is what Heaven will be like.

"I think God created Monkeys, because He was disappointed in Man". / Mark Twain
" If Noah and his family would have not boarded the boat, we would all have been better off"./ Mark Twain

I do wish and pray, that we all could get along.
Peace!

A some persentage (about 10-20%) of the population born on this earth, is greedy by nature, and their hunger to take something suround them, that does not belong to them, is endless. In time, they will get older and get to positions in society, where they have social, practical, financial or political position to start taking from others, and they do it with others like them by teaming up together. This all is also known as:

capitalism/right winging/rebublicanism They are ready to do anything, even start wars, to go on, and they use any lies, any broadcasting channels and any celebrities to do it. The rest of the people just have to fight it back or suffer in silence. Most people care only about their own current situation, and dont want to see the whole picture. As long as mc donalds is open, and tv works, gas is cheap, its all enaugh peaceful lifeline for them.

I find your idea that everyone is a sinner foolish, judgmental and insulting.

Just because you have been told this nonsense it does not make it true.

This idea that you are espousing is the source of much of the discontent and disharmony that exists in the world. Seeing others as being flawed in this manner has been creating conflicts from the very beginning.

I suggest you reconsider this idea and start to see it as the source of the problems you are speaking of.

We are all brought up with different families, different social situations, some are taught right and wrong, some have parents who don't give a crap and only teach pain and violence, some with mental disorders; it just can't be done.
