Actually, you can't work it out unless you have very regular cycles, because you ovulate on the 14th day BEFORE your period, NOT after. It makes me cross when people say it's after. It's only after if you have a text book 28 day cycle, which most of us don't. These 14 days leading up to your period are called the luteul phase.
As well as being responsible for many unwanted pregnancies, the "14 days after your period starts" myth is actually why so many couples struggle to get pregnant. They are trying on the wrong day each month! Just think, if you have a 35 day cycle (not unusual) and doing day 14 you are out by a whole week! You should be trying on day 21 instead.
You as a woman, are only actually fertile for about 24 hours each month, because that is roughly how long an egg lives for. However, sperm can live for up to 7 days, although the more common life span is about 3 or 4 days I believe. Therefore, once you know your ovulation day you should avoid sex for at least a week prior to that, and 1 day afterwards, 2 if you want to be on the safe side.
If you want to use this as a method of birth control then first of all get hold of a copy of Toni Weschlers book, Taking Charge of Your Fertility. This explains it all in great detail.
To predict ovulation you need to take your temperature every morning at the same time, before getting out of bed, and record it on a chart. You also need to check the position and hardness of the neck of your womb (the cervix), i.e. high or low, hard or soft? You need to be able to feel if the cervix is slightly open or tight shut.
You need to be able to monitor cervical fluid (otherwise known as mucous or discharge), and determine the differences in it, little or lots, creamy, watery or "egg white" consistency.
All of these changes in your body can determine that ovulation is near.
If you want to chart you can use the link below for free charting.
BUT, it is easier to use this method to concieve than it is to avoid conception. You need to monitor your body for a few cycles before you can even *think* about relying on this method.
Nothing but condoms will protect you from STD's however, so unless you are in a long term relationship/marriage (and can still be prepared for mistakes/accidents and therefore a baby), this shouldn't be your choice of method.
This method is not any less reliable than conventional birth control, however human beings are not very reliable, and this method requires you to be incredibly diligent, checking all things every single day of the month and accurately recording and interpreting the results. No room for guess work!
To use your dates, on the 16 you will be on cd (cycle day) 7. If you have 28 day cycles there is a slight chance you could get pregnant as sperm can live up to a week in the right conditions. It is a very slim chance, but if you don't want a baby then it is enough of a chance that you should NOT have unprotected sex.
Remeber, you can never accurately, 100% *predict* ovulation, you can only tell *after* it's happened, which is obviously too late if you want to avoid pregnancy!

This question cannot be answered accurately because every woman is different. If you had a perfect cycle, the general I've heard is you start ovulating the fourteenth day after the first day of your period. And you have a 5 day window. So, if you started your period on the 9th, then you might start trying around the 23rd through the 28th. Again, though, very few women have perfect cycles. There are ovulation predictors in the pharmacy if you want to try that. There is also a thing called natural family planning that involves taking temperatures (down there) and examining your discharge. Otherwise talk to a doctor. Good Luck!

Umm its crowded and people do by accident touch each other by bumping into each other. So their is no way you can stop that unless you find another transportation. I know the buses in India are very crowded and the trains but maybe someone can give you a ride. At a temple your focus should be on our Gods not other women being touched. Stop thinking about it then you won't get into a arousing situation. when you are in those situation just think of the main focus as to where your going and how will you get there, what things you need to be doing to get done. Ten your mind will get diverted to something else and you wouldn't have to think about it. Its all about self control. It's your body you should know how to control it. However its normal to be attracted to women but don't go purposely to touch them if you are avoiding it.

Baby why bother, use a condom.Practice safe sex. Then when you are physically, mentally, emotionally ready start thinking of having a baby rather than how to avoid getting one.
For the record the 10th to the 19th day are considered fertile periods, with peak fertility around 14th day.
Avoid un-protected sex during this period.
So there you are

No, you need to wait until about the 23rd, when you are ovulating. You become most fertile mid-way between your periods. You can sometimes tell if you are ovulating because you might get a slight pain in either ovary, and your vaginal mucus will be thicker.

I don't think you have to worry about being pregnant. But you should definitely quit having relations until you are ready for the consequences of a baby.

Around the 23rd should be the best time but you can never guarantee anything, the body doesn't work that way. Have sex between the 20th and the 26th for sure.

It's about 14 days from the start of your period, so in this case around the 23rd. It differs from person to person though.

Please consider a birth control pill or condoms. Then you won't have to worry about this each month.
