Anemia. Fewer red blood cells that are not as able to carry as much oxygen. All physical activity becomes more difficult and risk of death from even minor injuries really goes up.

A few not very common genetic disorders lead to this problem, but throughout history it's been very serious. One reason people think Europe really took off in the late Middle Ages and into the Renaissance was because the changing diet (more beans and peas which are higher in iron) decreased anemia, allowing more women to survive childbirth, and lowering infant mortality. In modern times iron-overload problems (e.g.: beta-thalassemia) are starting to be a problem too.

Iron(Fe) is the element in the prosthetic group Haem of Haemoglobin in blood which carries Oxygen from lungs to all other tissues.Less iron results in Aneamia.Fe is also present in myo(musle) globin.Fe is a co-factor in a bio-chemical called Ferritin.

I suffer from anemia (iron deficiency) and the main symptom is weakness & exhaustion; I always feel tired.
