Well they share the same body so most likely both would die. However if one twin's brain died or something the other would live on I think

Saw this on Discovery Channel. Most conjoined twins share a blood supply, and often one or more organs. Without both brains regulating circulation, the remaining living twin dies soon after the first one dies.

Apparently this is what happened to Chang and Eng, the Siamese men for whom the condition is named (the ones you see in the Guinness Book of Records). One had a stroke; the other had to carry him / assist him with tasks for the little time he lived after the stroke. A little bit later, the stroke victim died, so his brain was no longer returning his share of the blood supply to his twin, so the other twin died within hours.

Well Chang and Eng Bunker, two famous 19th century conjoined twins, one died and the other went a few hours later. In this day and age, they would have to be sharing something pretty damn important if no doctor has dared to separate them. If one died, you would think that would severely impact the important organ they are sharing and the other twin would soon follow.

If a conjoined twin died and the other one didn't, the twin who didn't die would live on for a few more hours. You should watch the Discovery Health Channel.

A pretty gross question but I would imagine if the body had two heads I would think when one brain failed the other would too.

I do think it would affect the living side. I think that the side that was still alive would have to have that part surgically removed. I don't think it would just hang on and rot away something would have to be done.
