my daughter was 3 months when her teeth first came in so teething rings and such were worthless to us. I gave her baby Tylenol and held teething biscuits or a cold wet washcloth in her mouth. Instead of using baby or gel i actually used the adult ambusel liquid form. I used a little bit rubbed it between my fingers and then put it on her gums that way. That seemed to have helped. Now that she is 5 months and getting two more teeth(Talk about an early teeth er) i got the pedilite Popsicles to give to her. She loves them and it helps her teeth alot. The only teething ring she likes now is the ones that vibrate. I got her this star one that vibrates and rattles and it really helps. Each baby prefers something different, you just have to figure out what yours will like.

We would use Hylands Teething Tablets. They are in the baby aisle at Sav ons, Albertsons in California, next to the gas drops. They are all natural and pretty safe (like almost 2 bottles to cause poisening safe.) and effective. We would also use infant's motrin at night and Tylenol by day if it was really bad. Be careful of frozen teethers and ice because the baby can get frostbite on their gums if they suck and naw too long. Of all things that my alost two year old now likes to teeth on, frozen asparagus. Yuck!

Try infant tylenol for the pain and other symptoms that follow teething. Baby orajel is great it really helps them. I also let my son eat popsicles, try the freezer pops, if they aren't old enough to bit into the popsicle try tapping it with a case knife and then squeeze it to make it slushy and feed it to them. The cold helps to numb the gums. This will also help with them not wanting to eat because of the pain.

my 10 month old has 6 teeth! and they have been painful for all of us. i usually give her a frozen rag to chew on or a rubber teether to chew on or oragel. they even have these things that look like pacifiers with a mesh bag on the end and you can stick food inside and keep you baby safe from chocking. i put frozen fruit or a frozen gerber meat stick in there. but when they are really bad, like this last one, i will give her baby motrin, especially at nighttime. the dose for a 6 month old and up, is 1/2 tsp. i can tell it gives her relief and it makes me feel much better that she isnt in so much pain. i hope this works for you, good luck.

The only thing that REALLY worked on my nieces was cut up apple in cheesecloth. It's like a home-made teething ring. Use hunks of hard sweet apple without the skin (not the mushy or sour kinds of apple) in cheesecloth. The aplple is cold and sweet so they like it, and the hard kind help them cut the teeth in, and the cheesecloth makes it so they can't swallow some accidently. Just make sure you close off the cheesecloth so they can't get the apple out of it.

Just do the best you can to make them comfortable. Molars are the worst. Give them one of those teething rings that you can refrigerate. The cold helps numb their gums, and the constant gnawing helps the teeth to break through.

I give my son 0.2mL of Infant Tylenol when his teething is really bad, especially if it's keeping him up at night. Also, he likes to chew on a dry washcloth.

for my brother, we gave him either a wet/dry cloth so that he can suck and gnaw at it. Also baby orajel helps out alot, and teething toys. if hes 11 months old he's okay with ice too..give him some ice to suck and "numb" his gums. that really helped my brother..good luck
