I like an alternative sound... Evenescense, Green Day, Ben Kweller, Sugarcult...
I also like the "christian" variety of this genre: Thousand Foot Krutch, Jeremy Camp, Casting Crowns, Thrid Day, Seventh Day Slumber

i'm very selective in music, i don't like music which are commercial, in fact i don't listen much to mainstream music because i've listened to them for a very long time. recently i like listening to alternative rock, somtimes indie music. but i don't like heavy beating, to me sometimes i feel american songs have really heavy beating which i don't prefer myself. i tend to like listen to british alternative rock. i'm also interested in country music and i think later i would really spend some time on it. im sorry i don't like rap or r&b because they all sound like having heavy beating. It's really nice to come across question asking such kind of question, hope you continue to find great joy and inspiration in listening to music!

classical (Mozart); rap (TI); r&b (Mary J. Blige); hip-hop (JT); oldies (Billy Joel/Carpenters/Chicago); country (Tim McGraw); and of course old Rock...the Eagles...aerosmith...Lynyrd Skynyrd
but mainly listening to top 40 on radio...also like Christian such as Mark Schultz...Chris Tomlin...Nicole Nordeman
am a fan of some opera...and love old musicals
