If you are paid by the hour, anything over 40 hours per week is over time....usually compensated by time and a half.
Now, if you are exempt or salaried, then there is no overtime. You get the the wages you and your boss agreed over, no matter how many hours you work.
You can contact the Florida department of labor.

call the state labor board, they can answer any question you have about overtime. If they think something is funny they may send someone to look at the company books.

The state or federal department of labor. The feds have overtime laws - you can read info on those at http://www.dol.gov/dol/topic/wages/overtimepay.htm
Some states have more restrictive laws that this - your state department of labor could advise you on that. But the federal law holds at a minimum for every state.

Overtime is a federal law. US Department of labor is where you would file a complaint.

Call the EEOC in your state (equal employment Opportunity). They'll give you the advice you need. Do not hesitate.
