There are so many more pressing issues to deal with, Who cares if two people who love each other want to get hitched? There's bigger fish to fry, what are they afraid is going to happen? the whole country is gonna go gay or something?

I'm not homophobic, I think they should let the gays do what they want to do and leave it at that, not drag it out as a huge issue.

The Gay Marriage issue is dead. Harper tried to reopen it and was firmly trounced. It seems unlikely that any other government in future will try to reverse the rights of Gays to be married.

There is no more pressing issue than everyone getting an equal share of the goods. Whether that's poor people having access to decent health care, or disabled people having access to public spaces or homosexuals having access to their partner's will - they are all about equality and access.
I think you're tired of the subject cause you might be homophobic and don't like the fact that gays are finally in the same game as you.

As a Canadian traitor (I currently live in the states...) I firmly believe in letting the marriage issue be for now. The Canadian government has already granted us marriage rights, so how 'bout we put some rest on the issue. We have marriage, and now they are threatening to take it away. Until they decide to take legal action, than I don't believe that we should have to continue the same old fight.

It would be redundant, and the entire country would get fed up with us.

I am right there with you! Let's worry more about the homeless people on the streets, or the children who need our help in foster care, or our family/friends/loved ones who are over there fighting for our country, when our country is fighting among themselves about gay marriage. How is that right? I mean, whether or not they allow gay marriage, it doesn't mean people are going to convert back into being straight. It's nice to have a wedding, but seriously, we can go get our names changed for 35 dollars, we can live together, and have a family, we don't NEED a marriage, so it's not going to stop us from being gay, get over it Bush and the rest of you homophobics!

Especially when straight people are the one's breeding and might have a child born gay. A lot of countries are just filled w/ ignorance about the gay community....

i think it's totally wrong. first off because we were made to love the OTHER gender and second because it's all the harder to figure who will pay for the reception & wedding
