Nah, Socialists believe that the government should own everything, including private property and such.
Democrats in general have always been in favor of, and done what they could, to support middle class and under buying their own homes.
While I can see how people might say that because of the Universal Health Care issue, we really don't have any politicians who are extreme enough to be called socialists. And we must remember that most of the Free/Western/Modernized world has Universal Health Care and they are not socialist nations! :)

Actually, Hillary Clinton is a centrist running on the Democratic ticket. Of all the potential candidates running so far, she is the most experienced and most qualified for the presidency. We shall she at election time if Americans have learned anything & have become smarter this time.
