GARY-is this one for you? OTC soy vitamins have been shown to work, cause people with high soy in their diets have been known to have less of them. This is for a woman though.

Uhm, Gary, are you by chance taking female hormones? There is no remedy for hot flashes. Carry around one of those little personal fans and hope for the best.

The homeopathic remedies Belladonna and Pulsatilla are just brilliant for hot flashes. Try the 30x remedy at bedtime if you get them at night - they will help so much.

I started getting hot flashes when I was 37. I began taking wild yam, standardized extract, and I have not had problems with hot flashes since. That was 8 years ago.

I'm guessing you're asking for a female. A hormone imbalance is generally the cause of hot flashes. Either estrogen or progesterone deficiency, depending on the age of the person and their hormone levels, is the culprit. I suggest the person having the hot flashes see a medical professional who works with bio-identical hormones. They can test their hormone levels, and prescribe the appropriate hormone supplements to alleviate their symptoms.
