my computer notifies me with a beep n the lil baloon says whatever i have...i want my coputer to actuall say hey ..u have mail ....

Considerin there are 20000 different email providers out there and you didnt tell us what you use, Good Luck findin the answer!

Sounds like you're using outlook or outlook express.
you should be able to check you settings.
START>SETTINGS>CONTROL PANEL
or START CONTROL PANEL
then go to sounds and audio devices, then to the sounds tab, here you can change the sounds for diffrent windows events, there should be a section for outlook where you can chage the new mail to any other sound you want, then all you need to do is find the .wav file for you have mail. might be able to rip this from the AOL CD. you might could even make your own with the sound recorder....have fun...

you could download incredimail. its free. just delete the shortcuts it makes on the desktop after installation. you dont want to have the games / dating etc. comes with notifiers.

the only spyware it has is from incredimail so as to update the software if needbe.
