I need a new Vacuum Cleaner.?

Question

Have short haired moulting dog, so need cleaner which will do the job. Have old dyson 04, which is good but not 100% up to the task.
Any recomendations?

My dyson is 9 years old, can't fault it except the short dog hairs embedded in carpet not being removed!

Rainbow. Go and watch a demonstration, or request one in your home, you will never use another brand again! They cleaned a one foot length of my carpet, and I have no pets, so you would thingk it would be pretty clean, but you would not beleive what all they got out of that space! the water was almost black! I vacuumed every day, and had no idea how really ineffective my vacuum was!

I've always sworn by the Hoover brand over many years, same for my mother. The heavy metal ones are the best even though they are just that, heavy. The plastic models even though they have filtration, don't seem to work as well. I'd suggest you find yourself a Hoover dealer and go take a look and ask them which model they suggest you buy (rather than just buying a vacuum from Walmart, K-Mart or Sears)

If you bought a Dyson, maybe you can get it repaired cheaper than buying one that good, or is it still under warranty to be replaced?

Seems a shame that such a machine wouldn't last for years and years and I thought these were relatively new.

I would head to the library and look at "Consumer Reports" magazine and see what their most recent report had to say.
Although I bought a Hoover a few years ago, and I am very happy with it.
