Im thinking of switching to 3 mobile: videotalk 500...500 mins for £15 for life. I notice they also have a promotion for 'free' msn messenger for life too.... I'm wondering do you pay anything for it somewhere..eg Data charges or a per message charge. or some other sneaky hidden charge?

I have been on 3 for some time now and I can categorically tell you that MSN Messenger is free on 3 for the life of the contract. If your phone is on Pay As You Go, then I think that MSN is only free until the end of 2007. When I say free, I mean completely free. There's no data charges, download charges, etc. Please note that this version of MSN is only text based. You can only use it for typing messages to people, not for calling, webcams, or transferring files. I hope this helps. By the way, please read my posting about 3's charges for downgrading to a lower tariff, "3 downgrade scam".

Well, no matter what, they have to write it down -somewhere- in a contract. So you may be in for some heavy reading of very small print. If it's on the computer, hopefully you can copy and paste it onto a word document and make it bigger. Good luck.
