So, this is your first grandchild? How very exciting for the whole family! Congratulations.
I think Madison is cute, but extremely over-used right now. I grew up with a Jada. She was the only Jada I ever knew and I thought she had a great name--unusual enough without being weird.
What do the baby's parents think of those names? That's whose opinion counts.

Madison Christine is very pretty. Jayda is just okay - I like Jana Christine better. Congratulations!

Jayda, Jada...etc etc, is overused these days. It is a cute name, but there are tons of Jadas being born right now.
Same goes for Madison, but tenfold....there are sooooo many Madisons. The name is great, but wayyyy too overused.

Obviously, my answer would be a little biased. My name is Madison! But if I was a complete third-party observer with absolutely no bias in the matter, I would think it would be a lovely name for your grandchild.
But it is really your opinion and the parents' opinions that matter the most.

I like them both. lol Madison seems to be a pretty popular name so if you want something different...go with Jayda. You could even spell it with an i...Jaida. :)
