It's not the shark you see, it's the shark you don't see!
If there is a shark attack I will stay out of the water for a few days until the authorities have said it's probably gone.
And then I'll surf that location again without worry. Shark attacks are too rare to worry about. Surfing is worth dieing for.

Worse than sharks. i encountered whales, and not just one in a lifetime, but many every summer. The worse is when they really are in tune with the latest fashion statments and adorn flashy colored thongs.
Oh boy, way to break a sweat in the waters !

Where i live is hardly anything you can call a wave,so sadly I NEVER SURFED AT ALL.How stupid is that?
And then shark attacks:never will i go on a board ever.

Yes, but the Life guard laughed and said it was a Dolphin....
I still say it was a shark.
I never surfed again.

I see them all the time I try to stay out of the water when they are around .... I'm lucky I can go out 300 yards and still see the bottom of the gulf It is Beautiful here

no, i haven't encountered a shark, and i really don't want to.
if it happened i would never surf again. but i have never surfed the first time yet....

nope and i hope i never do....i have had several encounters with rattle snakes and water snakes also...got chased out of the water severel times...
