Don't mess with the occult spiritual world. It will lead you in to all sorts of problems. I have seen this within my own family. Involvement has left a wake of degradation in their lives spiritually physically and mentally.

This is my best spirit story ever. A friend of my husband (ex now) lived in an old mansion in an old part of town. His friend, Tom, rented the place from this guy. The mansion was made into 3 apartments, plus the old "ballroom" that was on the top (3rd floor). Every Christmas Eve they had a big party. This was about 7 years ago, there were 3 front door entrances to get in. The one on the left was for one side of the house, the one on the right was the one we always used to get to Tom's apartment, and the one in the middle was up to the ballroom. There was an energy I could see around the middle door before I went through it. It stunned me as I was first starting to discover more about the spirit world then. Everyone walked through, so I followed, as soon as I did, I felt as if something went right through me. Up and up, the stairs I went, following behind. Once up in the ballroom, which was a huge place with several adjoining rooms, I found three different types of people. The first group with the regular party goers, the second were people dressed in odd clothing, period clothing from the early 1900s who DID NOT speak to me. I tried and they ignored me, then the third and final group of the people in period clothing that did speak to me. I remember one gentleman conversing with me, along with the owner, I asked about the people who didn't speak and he told me that they were not as advanced as the rest. I only had one drink because the whole evening was amazing on it's own. The next morning I woke up exhausted and feeling totally hungover. This was my first experience of this kind with spirits. When I mentioned people in period costumes to my husband, he didn't remember seeing them. But, he's a non-believer. That was my first and last time going to this party. Even though it continues every year, has been going on since the beginning of the late 1800s. People talk that the house is haunted, I know it is.

Yes I do. But I also believe that many things that seem to be weird in a home, are of earthly origin, not of spiritual origin.

For instance. I have entered houses where the owners have claimed to see lights floating in the air, shadows of people, ghosts, etc. And in some cases, objects are moved from one side to another.

In many cases, the results were clear that what the people heard, saw or felt was the product of their own fears and imagination.

I'm afraid I can't tell you about any case, because Yahoo Answers Team considered before that telling people about real life stories we have worked on are "advertising".

I do most definitley. I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to stay over for a night at Chingle Hall, the official most haunted house in the UK. A friend of a friend was a friend of the cleaner there. Anyway, Chingle Hall is probably an awful lot smaller than you would expect. It is a small cottage in Goosnargh near Blackpool. We were given a tour of the house first and the lady who took us round initially told us nothing of the stories there. She wanted us to experience this house without any influence of Ghost Stories etc. We went from room to room (at this time I was very skeptical and thought that it was all a load of rubbish). The lady then took us to the doorway of a small room. She asked for a female volunteer, so I, laughing and joking stuck my hand up! The lady told me to stand in the middle of the room with my arms by my side, palms facing up and in a welcoming position. I did this while everyone was stood in the doorway. I had a wierd cold sensation which I put down to my mind playing tricks. Then without noticing when it started, I looked down and my arm was swinging as if a young child was holding my hand. It started swinging rapidly then suddenly stopped sharp. This then was followed by me having an overwhelming sense of sadness, I then proceeded to sob my heart out - wasn't sure why!! Anyway one of the boys walked into the room and my arm moved in a way that you couldn't move it yourself. It was jerked away sharply, very strange. Then I just stopped crying. The lady then went on to tell us that we were in Elenors room. Elenor was a young girl who had been locked in her room for her entire life, her parents weren't around and she was left in her uncle's care. Her uncle and his friends only came to the room to bring food and to abuse her. I felt her overwhelming sadness when I burst into tears and as she had been abused by males this is why she jerked my arm away when a male entered the room. I was skeptical but after that experience i'm a complete believer! I didn't know anything of this story before the visit!

Hiya, Oh yes i believe in spirits, i used to live in a house that was haunted by a mother and daughter, they were both gassed. The little girl used to appear and she used to giggle and run across the bedroom floor. The mother was more aggressive, when i said i was leaving as i was getting married she held me down while i was in bed but at the same time she tried to drag me out of bed. I couldn't shout, scream, or do anything so in my mind i started to say the lords prayer, and slowly she lifted off me. I wouldn't sleep in that room again. My mum saw the little girl and even picked her out of a photo the lady next door had of her. My dad used to tell us there was no such thing as ghosts and it is only recently he owned up and said he used to see the little girl on a regular basis. My sister when she was very young used to tell us about a lady rocking her to sleep on a night. My friend's and i one night got an Ouija board, none of my friends knew of the little girl or her mother being gassed, when we asked if anyone was there very slowly she spelt a reply, she told us her name which was the correct name of the little girl, and that she was 5, and she wanted her dad. I can honestly say i had taken my finger off the glass when she started to spell her name, and never put my finger back on it. Things sometimes cannot be explained, but i know what happened to my family in our old house is true.

Spirits are one of those things that many people are sceptical about! Personally yes I do. There is an old ruin near my home town that when I visit I feel like there is someone watching me but when I look there is no-one there. So Spirit or ghost? Are they there for my protection or harm who knows. Maybe I'm the reincarnation of their lover who knows *cheeky grin*

Yes, I do...And they have nothing to do with alcohol.
My stepfather died young - 30 years old. One day 2 friends of mine (who had only met my stepfather twice) came over and used the Ouija board and asked him questions. I asked the questions out loud without touching the board at all. The responses my stepfather gave were words and expressions that my friends never knew of. It was very real and we all believe without doubt that he had spoken to us that day. I was in tears because it was so real. I never used it again. I don't think it's a bad thing, but it's not the kind of experience you are always prepared for.

I certainly believe in spirits, and all the many inexplicable things that have happened to me when under the influence of them. One time I actually flew, only about twenty feet and it was a vertical descent but it was flying, Must learn how to land before trying it again..........

Seriously. I was staying in a brand new building in Queenstown New Zealand and was lying sleeping face down. A small cool hand was placed on the back of my head and then stroked me down my neck to about halfway down my back. I opened my eyes but didn't move, I was now fully awake and the stoke was repeated - this time I moved my head to see who it was, apart from myself, the room was empty .....................

Yes, I absolutely do. I've had a lot of experiences with shadow ghosts, voices, animal energies etc....until someone proves things like this *don't* exist, I'm going to be a believer in the paranormal!
