can any one tell me how to find out about a bowl?

it has made in germany on the bottom and e r on the bottom

Blue bowls sold on ebay are plentiful mostly Japan. The only one I see from Germany does not describe it completely. If you have an eyeglass look deeply for anything more on the bottom of the bowl. As previously answered details will assist in better reseach.

That's pretty hard to go by given the lack of information. A person who deals with china goods may be able to tell you much more from looking at it, but it may be more trouble than it's worth if you are looking at it in terms of money unless it is really old.
