I can't either!
1. Fill your mouth with a LOT of water.
2. Carefully slip the pill between your lips in the water.
3. Sip some more water and swallow ALL of it.
4. Did you feel the pill? No? Good.

Try laying the pill on the back of your tounge and drinking through a straw. Another thing that I do is to put the pill in your mouth, get a good mouthful of pop or water and tilt your head forwards. This makes the pill float on top of the water so when you swallow, it's one of the first things to go down. Hope that helps!

Absolutely, most people can't swallow pills because they don't know how. What I do is take the pill put it in my mouth, take a huge drink of water and swallow, a pill is much smaller than most bites of food. if that does not work you can crush it and take in jam or ice cream something like that.

1) put the pill in the back of your tongue
2) drink a glass of water and TIP YOUR HEAD BACK
3) Do not swish the pill around in your mouth, itll just taste nastier.
4) Dont forget to swallow!
Youre not the only one who cant swallow pills, thats why most of medicines come in chewing or liquid forms. Youll get used to it eventually, soon itll become normal. Good luck!

Whatever you do you must never crush pills it could be very dangerous to take them crushed.... i have a problem swallowing big pills, see if you can either get the dispersal form or in liquid form. I believe it is a psychological thing, the mind telling you you are either afraid to swallow them, or that they won't go down and you will choke.

I know the feeling :(
I either crush them and put them in jam, if they are like aspirin and crushable. If I can crush it fine enough I will then disolve it in liquid. They will taste very bitter normally.
If it is a capsule filled with liquid you can carefully open it and pour the liquid on to a spoon. Beware though, it is likely to taste foul!
If it is a powder filled capsule you can open them and drop the powder in to a drink, I used to do this with tea. It can turn in to an almost gel like consistency though (to prevent drug addicts injecting it, apparently), so you will still have small lumps to swallow.
What I do now is ask for the soluble or liquid version, as it is such a common problem that most drugs are available in one of these forms.
If there is no other form for adults then ask about childrens versions (I do this with antibiotics, if I have to take them), they will be in liquid form, but not so strong, so you may have to take twice as much, obviously only double a dose with your doctors say so. To do otherwise is taking silly risks with your body, including messing up your liver...
Swallowing tablets is not like swallowing food, as your throat is more prepared for food after the chewing motion, and psychologically food just goes down without you having to think of it, unlike tablets for some of us!
Good luck and I hope you find a method that suits you :)

i dont like swallowing, chewing, or disolving pills in my mouth. also, i dont like liquid or gel medicine. but my choice would be to swallow my pills. when i was sick last, i put a ton of orange gatorade in my mouth then swallowed a little at a time. then when my mouth was half-way full,i swallowed the pill with the rest of the gatorade.
