There are lots of different types of meditation, and there are many of the directions free online.

You can find them with Google or any other search engine.

i think meditation is about self. I like to sit in a quiet area at home, open a window and surround myself with plants. If you have those incense sticks to burn, its also nice to have them at this time. at first i take deep breaths and take in the sweet fresh air. As my entire body begins to relax i relax my brain and reach a level of pure peace and tranquility. I begin to feel weightless and free. Its as if the body does not exist and the soul is floating. The hardest part is not to fall asleep, but if you do, than that is what your body needs and it is best for it at that moment. YOu will have a heavenly sleep and wake up as if you were reborn.
Some people suggest counting, but i think that is distracting. Let your mind become one with nature. Listen to the wind, the birds, the water. Listen to the rain, the quiet. Think about nature and it will free your mind. Dont clutter it with numbers and counting. Just let it all go. This is a happy process. At the end of it you will see that nothing matters anymore. Problems seem trivial and you understand what is truely important is what you love and caring for what you love, and inner peace.

Meditation is a self healing process, any form of stress is a sign of our negative thinking and Dis ease within our mind. If we dont attend to dis ease in the mind we may find that chronic stress can lead to disease of the body.

It will take you 1h to understand all about it. Just need to attend few free classes in your area.
Then there will be nothing to learn about. You will just meditate. Like walking. There is not a lot to learn, just a little bit of practice. Then you just walk.

is it this easy ? i am at it since last 10 yrs... & still want to know more to even start.

it is the core reason to live.
we earn so that we may live to be able to meditate to enhance our physiological status to gain cosmic connections, to atain peace faster.

sit in chair in a quiet room, by yourself, lift your legs out straight until they just start to hurt, then raise both arms out sideways until they hurt, then roll your head five times both ways, now close your eyes, empty your mind of every thing, relax your whole body let your mind listen for the sounds it would not normally hear, it will take a few times of trying in order to get it right for you self, it does take practice; good luck
