I am not the smartest person when it comes to politics. But If a Democrat votes for a Republican more times than he does for a Dem, what does it make that Dem. I agree with the Dem Agenda mostly, but Have not agreed so far in my voting life with the Dem Presidential Candidate. Plus I just kinda go with the one who shares my views as I think all politicians lie. What Does that make me??????????????

I would like to say that I have not agreed with any Parties since I was of age to vote. I just lean towards the Democrats more than Republicans cause it seems all Republicans want to do is go in all guns blazing if someone so much as sneezes wrong.

I asked this mostly cause I got tired of seeing Dems get bashed. I have been E-Mailed a few times for comments, Like this one, and yet they don't even know me beyond this site. Kind of stupid too me.

An Independent. You are not stuck with one party's ideals. I applaud you for voting your conscience and researching your candidate enough to know what they truely stand for.
And you are right. All politicians lie. It is a tactic they employ to get votes. To really know how they feel and think, research their voting record, it will tell you everything you need to know.

I think that makes you a thinking person who doesn't just vote a straight party line and who wishes both parties had better candidates to put forward. Perhaps you also feel, as I do, that the method for choosing candidates could be much improved as it seems sometimes to weed out the best people.

It just means you split your ticket, which makes you smarter than you think. You have to consider the candidae when voting, not the party I have been Republican for decades, yet voted against Bush twice. I just did not feel he was the right person for the job. Neither were Gore or Kerry, but it was a lesser of two evils kind of thing for me.

well, since bush isnt a real republican -- he is really a liberal pretending to be a republican and if you voted for him then you probably do really lean more to the left. i suggest vote with the candidate that has the same views you think are important OR vote for the candidate that you feel will bring america back to it's greatness.

Well, in recent history the Democrats have always put forward very liberal presidential candidates. So, it sounds like you are a moderate Democrat and/or Independent.

A lot of us arn't smart in politics but I think that you've hit on something, you are a true voter, not one that is so true to their party that they won't cross the line for the good of the country. We need more like you!

I suggest you form your own political opinions outside the talking points of both parties. Start here:

You just realize that the Dimocratic Party has no leadership quality, and would be a disaster for this country.
