I love pogo.com! You can join for free. They have all kinds of fun card, word,puzzle,sports and casino games. You have a mini that you can get things for with the tokens you earn, and you can chat with other members as you play. They offer down loadable games but the site is for on line players. It is a lot of fun. You can even join leagues and play in tournaments or just play solo. Check it out! I think it has something for everyone.

You could try Runescape; it's becoming increasingly popular everyday. http://www.runescape.com , after many hours of searching, I can say with confidence that this is the ONLY free MMORPG, not counting the variations of MMOs such as Puzzle Pirates, another game that you down have to download and can enjoy. Most of the other games that you will find will just be a series of links to other windows, like neopets.
