There are 2 types of dating.
Single-Dating (opposite gender) OR Group Dating.
For single-dating ,no it isn't suitable. You need to know how to handle all those things related to dating. And being in a relationship is not as easy as being in friendship. Friendship is something that will last if you know how to keep them, but love relationship is a more difficult stage of it.
You have to know how to handle your emotions, eg, when there's a break-up or seeing your guy or girl with someone of the opposite gender.
You have to know how to build up/ strengthen your realtionship.
It's advisable to date at a later and more matured age, perhaps 18+. By then, you should be able to behave like someone who really know what to do and how to handle love problems.

Actually, you should concentrate on your studies. Once you've excel well in your studies, then try to start a relationship. There's always another time to fall in love and get involve with it. But there isn't another chance to do very well in your studies. Once you fail badly, it'll be difficult for you to get jobs and things like that.

For group-dating, it's not as bad as single-dating. But you have to manage your time well. Don't spend too much time with your friends.

But whatever I've told you here, you'll still gonna date right?
Because this is just a casual question for people to answer.

No, dating infers to a relationship...and 13 year olds do not know how to handle the things that come with dating. 13 year olds can go out with groups of friends for group activities, but one on one dates should be avoided.

No! A friendship is one thing, dating is a bit more complex.
At 13, one is emotionally vulnerable and may engage in activity which may give you cause for regret at some point. Have fun, just don't get serious. OK?

13 year olds date but you know it's only gonna last like 2 weeks and all they do is go to the movies and all that so it's not a big deal.

Yeah, because at 13 you are a teenager, so it's ok. Just dating, kissing, nothing else. But yeah it's fine. They have to grow up sometime.
