how can i config my mic to work 4 im off my front jack it only works on the back?

i can only use the back jack 4 my mic when im on im yahoo. i would like to use it in the front with my ear piece ive done test that says its working but it it dosnt

Are you trying to use your headphone socket for your microphone???
No wonder it doesn't work!
