That really depends on what you're talking about...
But to be honest, I think it's a pretty "iffy" area all together. I mean, you're married.. and chatting with some other woman online. Whatever time you are spending chatting with your "friend" I think it is safe to assume, that it is time you are not spending with your wife. As a married woman myself, I think your time would be better spent with your wife.
But...
If your wife knows all about your friend, and you're not hiding anything.. and IF she is completely comfortable with you having the friendship, then sure, go right ahead with it. But of course, that's ONLY if there are no secrets, and absolutely no suggestions of the two of you meeting.. ever.
That's just my opinion about the whole internet-friends thing, when it comes to being married.

It really depends on what you are talking about. I have been that woman. It most of the time leads to wanting to meet and then that and anything else would be cheating. Men are stupid by nature when it comes to relationships. Sorry don't mean to offend.

If your only talking, because I have women who I'm friends with who I chat with, but if your having cyber sex or flirting and give that woman more attention than your wife, your commiting adultery against your wife. Chatting itself is not wrong, but if your doing other things where it's more of a sexual nature, then yes I do consider it cheating.

If you are married, I would ask yourself WHY you're talking to another woman on the internet? And how would you feel if your wife was talking to a man on the internet?

If you are hiding it from you wife then it is absolutely cheating. If you are open and honest about it with your spouse then it's not.
